Mechanisms of oral tolerance to allergens

Features of the structure and functioning of the immune system of the gastrointestinal tract are generalized, mechanisms of oral tolerance to antigens are described. The results of studying the mechanisms of action of oral and sublingual allergen-specific immunotherapy, including a modulation of T-cell and B-cell response, antibody isotypes, suppression effector cells of allergic inflammation, are presented.
