Aim. To evaluate the clinical efficacy of autoserotherapy in patients with bronchial asthma and atopic dermatitis.
Materials and methods. Throughout the study, 104 patients aged 18 to 60 years with allergic diseases were examined, of which 60 persons suffered from bronchial asthma, and 54 from atopic dermatitis. 64 patients (34 with atopic dermatitis, 30 with bronchial asthma) received a course of autoserotherapy of 8-10 procedures intradermally alongside main treatment, 40 people (20 with atopic dermatitis, 20 with bronchial asthma) were treated according to the clinical guidelines of the Russian Federation.
Results. Analysis of the clinical picture in the study groups, has shown that patients with bronchial asthma who received a course of autoserotherapy along with basic treatment achieved control over the disease faster, while the need for basic therapy was reduced (p<0.05). The use of autoserotherapy for atopic dermatitis has shown statistically significant differences in the number of exacerbations over 6 months of observation (p<0.05). The inclusion of autoserotherapy as a method of non-specific immunocorrection demonstrates its clinical efficacy in allergic disease treatment in adults, affecting the pathogenetic aspects of allergic diseases.
Conclusions. The use of autoserotherapy in patients with bronchial asthma contributes to achieving rapid control over the disease, reducing the duration of basic therapy, as well as reducing the number of exacerbations of atopic dermatitis, which improves the quality of life for patients with this allergic disease. |
